Camden Public Library Holds March Book Sale
Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23
This sale will offer a large selection of hard cover and soft cover trade paperbacks at $2 each on a wide range of topics including the arts, biographies, cooking, fiction, foreign language, gardening, health, history, how to, Maine, marine, nature, religion, science, and sports.
There will also be a large section of children’s books, hard covered books at $2 each; soft cover books at $1 each and board books at 50 cents each. Young adult books will be $2 each. There will be hundreds of paperbacks at 50 cents each, covering a variety of topics, as well as fiction by leading authors.
DVDs and CDs will be $2 each and VHS tapes will be 50 cent each and include movies for all ages, cartoons for children, how too topics, music and books on tape.
Volunteers are needed at the library at noon on Friday, April 21 to set out the books on tables in the Picker Room. Book sale chairperson Jean Freedman-White said, “We need people during the weekend to serve for three-hour shifts as cashiers and to refresh the tables of books during the sale. Volunteers are also needed to help pack up books at the end of the sale, on Monday, April 24 beginning at 9 a.m.”

All of the funds raised at the book sale will be used to purchase new books and for children and adult programs at the Camden Public Library.
