The Camden Philosophical Society will present its final film of the season on Thursday, September 14, at 6:30pmin the Picker Room of the Camden Public Library. The film to be screened is “The Fourth Turning,” by Neil Howe and William Strauss. It explores historical patterns and events. Much of history is taught as a linear progression through time. But what if we understood historical events as part of a larger pattern? Would a different perspective enable us to choose more wisely and perhaps break a cycle that inhibits true human progress?
The event is free and open to the public.
A different film earlier scheduled for screening in September, “13 Conversations About One Thing,” had to be dropped due to problems with its free availability. There will be no film shown by the society in November.
