LiDAR: Revealing Maine’s Secrets

  LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) uses laser beams to image the earth’s surface (and other objects) to produce a very accurate and detailed representation of the land surface. This talk will touch on the basics of LiDAR data acquisition and highlight several of Maine’s fascinating landforms that were previously hidden in plain sight.
