LiDAR: Revealing Maine’s Secrets

Following the failed 1903 canoe expedition and death of her husband, Leonidas J. Hubbard (Laddie), to northern Labrador, Mina Hubbard decided to attempt the same trip. The story that was published by Dillon Wallace about Mr. Hubbard’s failed expedition after 1903 outraged Mina and she planned and undertook her own expedition to Labrador in 1905 to vindicate Laddie’s choices. Logging Towboats and Boom Jumpers The Story of O.A. Harkness Logging “Admiral” and Mechanical “Wizzard” Camden/Rockport native Orris Albert “O.A.” Harkness was a true mechanical genius.
